Tamara is registered with the Yoga Alliance® and certified by YogaFit®, an American Council on Exercise® partner. She is also a YogaFit® Master Trainer Apprentice and CPR/AED certified. Since 2006, Tamara has taught Hatha and Hatha Flow Yoga to children, teens, adults, seniors and prenatal students. Tamara teaches weekly yoga classes in Coral Springs, Florida. Private yoga is available by request.
How often should we exercise? Is Yoga exercise? Current U.S. guidelines recommend that adults exercise moderately 150 minutes per week (or vigorously 75 minutes per week) over two or more days. Children and teens should "be active" three or more days a week for an hour a day. Hatha flow yoga (vinyasa) addresses all five areas of physical fitness, including muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and body composition. What is YogaFit®? It is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. YogaFit® overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness.
