San Juan San Juan
San Juan, an American port, offered beautiful views from the ship's top deck. San Juan has a population of 1.5 million people, with a total of 3.3 million on the island (of Puerto Rico). It is 1,000 miles southeast of Miami, and measures 110 miles from east to west and 35 miles from north to south. The primary language is Spanish. We left the boat for only a short while, traveling by foot to their beautiful government center, seen just to the right of the lamppost in this picture. That day was extremely hot, so we were happy to return to our air conditioned cabin after an hour.
