Leah and Daddy

Leah LOVES her daddy!

Playgroup

8/1/03 - Here's the playgroup again. Look how big all the kids are getting!

8/7/03 - Leah is going through a language explosion. She can say all kinds of one and two-syllable words, including "blue, swim, happy, daddy and circle", plus some interesting longer words, like "Soo-Si-ckle", which means bicycle. She's great at pretend play, particularly with dishes and silverware. She does well in restaurants and can use a fork well. She's delighted by the computer and enjoys visiting Web sites with our help for her favorite tv shows. Leah can do the hokey pokey, as well as point to her head, shoulders, knees and toes. She loves to color, dance, sing, play piano, swim and go on bike rides. She's showing interest in letters, numbers, and shapes, and can even say and draw a few. Leah can wave and say "bye bye," and blow kisses with her hand. She has a great disposition and is extremely affectionate. She now kisses us on the cheeks and hugs tightly. When daddy comes home from work, she drops whatever she's doing, shouts "daddddyyy!" and runs delightfully into his arms.

Chocolate face

8/16/03 - Leah grabbed a piece of chocolate after dinner tonight. It was larger than we'd normally give her, but we decided to let her finish it off. She loved it! Can you tell?

Leah went pee-pee

9/02/03 - Leah went "pee-pee" in her "potty" for the first time tonight!

Leah 23 months

9/12/03 - Leah is 23 months old. Her language is developing quickly now. We've lost track of how many words she knows. Our favorite so far is "ah-nah-nah!", which is short for banana.
