HAPPY
HOLIDAYS FROM REBEKAH
November 30, 2004 - Almost 8 months old
1/1/05
- Rebekah is almost 9 months old. This past month,
Rebekah has perfected the art of standing and has begun to cruise
along the furniture. She has a small bruise on her cheek from one
of her spills, but she's getting steadier on her feet every day.
She crawls fast and is getting into everything. Alas,
she doesn't sleep through the night yet, waking once every night.
We put her on a nap schedule to help, and she's taken to the schedule
well, but it doesn't stop the 2 or 4 a.m. wake-up.
Ignoring her cries doesn't work, either, and I always give in after
about a half hour. Oh well. Her big sister was the same way at this
age, and she grew out of it by one year. Rebekah is eating EVERYTHING
we put in front of her. She's particularly fond
of soft
diced meats,
veggies
and fruits, and also accepts spoon-fed baby food. Cheerios are eaten
with every meal, and she likes white grape juice, too. She's saying
"Bah-bah-bah" and "Ma-ma-ma" quite
well, and overall is an extremely happy baby.
We'll be scheduling her 9-month check-up for later this week or next,
and
will have statistics
to
report soon.
1/27/05
- Rebekah is nearly 10 months old. We just took
her in for a check-up. The doctor said that everything looks great.
She's 20 pounds (60th percentile) and 29 inches (80th percentile).
Rebekah has started to clap and to let go of the rail to stand. We
feel that walking can't be far behind.
