18+ Months
10/17/05 - Rebekah went in for her 18-month check-up today. Her height was 33 inches (90th percentile), her weight was 25 pounds (50th percentile) and head was 48 centimeters around (90th percentile). Her temperature was 97.4 F. The doctor thought everything looked good, except for the thick mucous in her nose (from a cold). While I was expecting antibiotics for a sinus infection; he instead prescribed an antihistamine. 2/10/06 - Rebekah LOVES to swing and swing. 3/15/06 - Rebekah is 23 months and can now count objects up to ten (and into the teens when we count stairs!). She can identify colors, recite the alphabet and use numerous words. She's starting to make multi-word sentences and seems to understand everything. She loves to play instruments and to dance. She's also very mischevous. She gets into everything and likes to draw. Unfortunately, she's taken pen to the wall a few times. She's independent, affectionate and happy. Rebekah adores her big sister and calls her, "Do de Leah." We're not sure why! |
Rebekah & Leah are both princesses! 11/12/05 - Rebekah is 19 months old and is having a language explosion! We discovered this week that she knows numbers. If you say "one, two..." she'll carry on "three, four!" She can go all the way to ten. She's using all kinds of words (like book, milk, mama, Leah, Arrow and dog) and babbling on in long conversations. She doesn't fully enunciate yet, but as her palette develops, we're confident she'll soon have a million things to say.
12/25/05 - Rebekah is approaching 21 months old. We just had our Chanukah party and she had a great time!
