Our Wedding Ceremony

rings
March 1992 in Miami, Florida

InvitationAfter three years of dating, we married in the spring of 1992, Tamara's senior year of college. Eric was attending law school at the same campus. The wedding took place in three parts. First, guests arrived at the temple for drinks and appetizers. Wandering minstrels played. Soon, a small fleet of white stretch limousines ferried the guests to the Samole residence a few miles away. There, guests strolled through the courtyard while sipping champagne and enjoying more hand-served appetizers. Everyone gathered in the outdoor seats by sundown and the ceremony commenced. A gentle harp strummed as each family member strolled down the aisle. After Tamara arrived, she walked around Eric seven times with her veil and train lifted by her mother, mother-in-law and sister. An orthodox rabbi handled the ceremony, and within 30 minutes, we said our "I do's", crushed a wine glass, and released doves into the sky. Our guests congratulated us in a receiving line that lead back to the waiting limousines. Guests were shuttled back to the temple for more drinks and appetizers. Then, we danced with merriment. Afterwards, we enjoyed a full course meal. Later, we cut the cake, threw the bouquet and garter, then slipped away.
