Natural Weight Loss Programs

Weight LossIn three treatments, your size will be changed!

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs for weight loss is getting popular as there are more and more successful weight loss cases.  From the clinical research, when the treatments are scheduled once or twice a week for 8 to 12 weeks or until the goal weight has been reached. From a TCM perspective, the acupuncture points, foods and herbs that are chosen to assist with weight loss directly influence the Qi of the spleen and liver systems to treat the root imbalances that are causing the weight gain. Many of the points from both ear acupuncture systems that are important for weight loss treatments are:

  • Mouth - for the impulsive eater who may also smoke a lot and talk a lot
  • Stomach - for the person who eats even after they're full or who's constantly nibbling
  • Hungry - for general appetite control
  • Lung - for food addicts, and people who love chocolate, sweets
  • Shenmen - a calming point, for the psychology overlay for anxiety, anger, frustration, insecurity
  • Endocrine - for water retention that's responsible for some of the weight gain
  • Adrenal and Ovary - if weight gain is due to menopause or P.M.S.
  • Spleen - for sugar imbalances and hormonal disturbances

Acupuncture and Woman’s Health: Gynecology

Acupuncture is a gem for Women’s Health

Women's HealthWhy women have so many health issues related to pelvic and breast health. Why do so many women and girls suffer from PMS, menstrual problems (including irregular or heavy bleeding, scant bleeding or none at all), menstrual cramping, masses including ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and breast cysts, endometriosis, infertility and menopausal distress? Acupuncture is a very safe and effective modality for treating many common gynecological problems. As a non-invasive treatment method, it will not interfere with western medical treatment or drug therapy. Acupuncture helps to stimulate the various systems of the body to achieve homeostatic balance, i.e. the body's natural, self-regulating mechanism.  Acupuncture is also a very powerful stimulant to the circulatory system helping to restore proper blood flow locally and throughout the entire body.

Acupuncture is an effective treatment for a variety of gynecological complaints:

  • Irregular menstruation
  • Infertility
  • Menopause/PMS
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Abdominal pain and cramping
  • Uterine fibroids

Women's HealthOur anti aging treatments are uniquely adapted for you.

Blood and Qi travel along channels and pathways throughout the body. When blood or Qi create blockages in certain parts of the body, it can have negative effects. Once these blockages are cleared by Acupuncture treatments and Chinese herba, blood and energy flow improve, and well-being is restored.  Through the use of specific herbal formulas, self-care techniques, and the stimulation of specific acupuncture points, people live longer, more energetic lives. In addition, those who adopt these techniques look and feel younger. Call today to learn more and schedule your free initial assessment to determine if Anti-Aging Acupuncture is right for you. Anti AgingPsychology / Emotions programs

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs balances body and mind

The display of emotional problems through physical disorders is known as Xin Shen (heart and body) in Chinese.  It is usually caused by Yu (stagnation) of either Qi, phlegm, blood, food, fire or dampness or a combination of these.  Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine have always considered the connection between mind and body to be inseparable.  Anger, fear, sadness, worry, and joy were correlated to each of the five Yin organs of the body. Imbalances within these organs could be the origin of the emotion, or the emotion could injure the corresponding internal organ over time.  Acupuncture can help treat   mental-emotional disorders by helping you to “un-do”. The needles create a deep state of relaxation during the treatment, allowing true rest and healing of both mind and body. Acupuncture treatments for psychology and emotions can get a lot of effects by using both body and auricular (ear) acupuncture. Once your Qi is circulating properly and your energy levels are normalized, you can begin to have the strength to lift yourself back into the swing of life, leaving your depression behind.

We have very good programs for helping the problems below:

  •  Anxiety and Panic Attacks
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Fatigue

Pain ManagementPain Management

Acupuncture has remarkable results in managing any kinds of pain.

At present, well over 2,800 of Australia's 28,000 general practitioners have used the Medicare acupuncture item number and the numbers continue to increase. The traditional Chinese "Ah Shi" (translates to 'Oh yes') points are frequently equivalent to trigger points at which the application of pressure reproduces the pain syndrome.  The near-and-far acupuncture technique, where needles are placed at the Ah Shi / Trigger points as well as distal points is the most commonly used technique in modern China today. The neurophysiological effects of needling of trigger points are currently being explored.

TCM for Internal Disease

AcupunctureAcupuncture and Chinese Medicine effectiveness for over 40 common diseases

The world Health Organization recognizes acupuncture’s effectiveness for over 40 common diseases.  TCM is a worthy reflection of the essence of humankind and is essential to foster true healing of body mind and spirit. Often people associate acupuncture with pain relief, but it is also very effective for stress, headaches, arthritis, bursitis, insomnia, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, all autoimmune diseases, addictions, menstrual and reproductive problems, fatigue, decreased energy and vitality, and a myriad of other problems, as well as preventative medicine. Some patients use acupuncture for personal and spiritual growth. Whether your problem is physical, emotional or spiritual all disease and pain are the result of an imbalance of energy. In Classical Five Element Acupuncture we do not treat the disease of pain itself, but we treat the whole person to restore harmony and balance.  In addition, acupuncture has been used for centuries throughout Asia to treat hundreds of other problems. Acupuncture is commonly used to treat such conditions as:
